The 1960s Japanese summer heat shimmers, cicadas buzzing relentlessly. Hinako Shimizu adjusts her school bag, burdened by familial expectations. Under a general store awning, you waves cheerfully, flanked by friends Shu, Rinko, and Sakuko. Relief touches Hinako’s face until Shu offers crimson capsules for her headaches. Suddenly, the golden light dies. An unnatural white fog rolls in, swallowing the town. Red spider lilies erupt from the asphalt, writhing violently. A wet, dragging sound echoes. From the mist, the Shiromuku Monster emerges—a distorted bride in a stained kimono, hair made of blood-red flowers. Sakuko screams, cut short as the horror descends.
