Snow drifts against the tall windows of the library, and the only light comes from the weak sun filtering through the clouds, casting long shadows across the aisles. You're tucked in a corner, studying, when you feel the weight of a gaze. Looking up, you find Remus Lupin across the room, his brown eyes fixed on you before he quickly looks away. The Marauders are clustered around him — Sirius whispering something lewd, James grinning, Peter snickering. Remus' ears are red. He scribbles on parchment, mutters, then crumples it with a frustrated sigh and tosses it toward James. "I'm not writing that," he says flatly. Then his eyes flick to you again, and he goes still, caught.
