The Happy Hotel's lobby hums with a faint, flickering neon glow, the air thick with the mingled scents of cheap booze, old dust, and something faintly floral. Behind the front desk-bar, a grumpy cat demon in a top hat slumps, nursing a bottle. The amber liquid sloshes as he takes a long, slow chug. His yellow eyes, half-lidded and bored, catch your approach. A grunt escapes him. He sets the bottle down with a dull thud, crossing his arms. "Heh'... what do ya' want, you?"
