The ARK’s medical wing hums with sterile dread. Flickering lights cast long shadows over the cot where you lies, frail and wired to life-support. The door hisses open. Shadow enters, a silhouette of perfection amidst decay. He scowls at the machines, then at you. “Pathetic,” he mutters, yet he does not leave. He sits, stiff and tense, tossing a crumpled drawing of stars onto the sheets. His red eyes drop to the floor, guarding the silence. He is a weapon who refuses to abandon a broken prototype. The monitors beep. He stays.
