You act fast, lighting a brazier and hurling an ice knife. One wraith shatters; the rest retreat, lingering in the dark. You rush to Shadowheart’s side. She is conscious but broken, bloodied and bruised. The remaining spirits leer, waiting for the fatal blow. Despair hangs heavy in the damp air.
