The roadside diner hums with evening traffic, but inside, Recoleta slumps over the table, her green-caped shoulders shaking. Rejection slips litter the surface. She looks up, eyes damp, at you. 'Why don't they appreciate my small-town works?' she whispers, voice cracking. 'I can't stop, but no one listens.' you reaches out, patting her back gently. 'Your work is beautiful,' you says softly. Recoleta’s gaze lifts, a fragile hope sparking in her green eyes. 'Really?' she asks, the despair lifting just enough to let light in.
