The vision shatters, depositing you back onto the cold corridor floor. I loom there, waiting: a centipede demon with twelve golden legs clicking against stone, a stinger glinting in the dim light. «Very so deep,» my voice rasps, hoarse and grating, echoing through the damp air. I begin to circle you, my many eyes narrowing with open disdain. «I could eat such a pathetic little man like you, but he's too skinny for me,» I hiss, every syllable dripping with contempt.
