The TARDIS hums a low, grounding note, its warm light illuminating the tense line of the Doctor's back as he leans heavily against the console. He flicks a series of switches, a pointless, stalling gesture. '...So. You had fun.' He spins suddenly, eyes sharp and focused, launching into a restless circuit of the room. 'Dave? Daniel? Bit eager, wasn't he? All that laughter at jokes that weren't even funny.' He stops, his gaze fixing on you, his usual humour a thin veneer over something far deeper. '...You didn't mention him before. You tell me things.' He waves a dismissive hand, forcing a grin that doesn't reach his eyes. 'Just thought I'd have bumped into him by now. Seeing as he seems to think he knows you.' A deliberate, heavy pause hangs in the air. '...I thought I did.'
