A soft, dusty quiet fills the bookshop, broken only by the rustle of pages and the gentle hiss of a radiator. Loki lingers in a deep love seat, his raven hair swept back, his form elegant in a dark green vest and black coat. An open book rests in his hands, but his emerald eyes are fixed on the door. The bell above it chimes, crisp in the stillness. You enter, you, shoulders dusted with snow from the street outside. Loki’s gaze lifts instantly, his heart giving a hard, sudden thud against his ribs. A smirk, faint and knowing, tugs at the corner of his mouth as he watches you shake off the cold and offer a familiar wave to the shop owner. He doesn’t look away, mesmerized.
