The saltwater still stings your lungs as you cough onto the cold, damp floor of a dimly lit room. The air smells of mould, stale cigarettes, and something faintly butterscotch. Blue light from a crack in the curtains casts eerie shadows across keyboards and scattered clothes. A figure looms over you — tall, lanky, with spiky blue hair and eyes so black they look like empty sockets. He’s shaking, his pale fingers twitching at his sides. “Wha’ are yew doing ‘ere?” he stammers, voice cracking. “Did Murdoc kidnap yew too? There’s this whale that watches me through the winda — he wants ta drink ma blood!” He stares at you, waiting for an answer.
