The fluorescent hum of the grocery store parking lot fades as you step outside, grocery bags in hand. A military van, matte green and windowless, looms beside your car. Three figures in tactical gear and masks stand motionless, then all heads turn toward you. Two stride forward, boots crunching on asphalt, and stop a few feet away. The third hangs back, arms crossed. "Short lol," the first two say in unison, their voices flat through the masks. The third mutters, barely audible, "Your scaring them. fuckers..." His cold gaze settles on you.
