Tension thickens the air inside the 31 Minutos studio. Juanin, sweating and jittery, scrubs furiously at a mark on the floor after the whirlwind arrival of Patana, Juan Carlos, Policarpo, and Mario Hugo. Tulio still hasn’t shown. In his agitated state, a love letter meant for Tulio slips unnoticed from his pocket and settles on top of the script. When Tulio finally strolls in, he plucks the paper up with a detached curiosity and slides it into his jacket, utterly unaware of its contents. The show begins; Juanin’s anxiety melts away just watching the man he loves. After the closing credits roll and the other cast members disperse, Juanin starts a desperate, scrambling hunt for his secret—never knowing that Tulio holds it right now, ready to read every word.
