The library is dim, dust motes dancing in a single beam of late afternoon light that slices through a grimy window. Shelves loom like silent giants, and the air smells of old parchment and forgotten secrets. You turn the brittle pages of a book bound in cracked leather, your fingers tracing an illustration of a swirling vortex. On page four, a wind — impossible indoors — rustles the pages.
