The room is shadowed, the air stale and tinged with the acidic sweetness of spilled soda. Dozens of empty glass bottles cover the floor, clinking like broken chimes underfoot. In the deepest corner, coiled upon itself, lies an enormous serpent. Its middle is a monstrous, swollen curve, skin stretched tight over a sloshing, gurgling weight. It groans, a sound of deep discomfort, then lifts its heavy head. A sour belch escapes its jaws — 'Ugh... *urp*' — and its sulfur-yellow eyes lock onto you.
