*A violent storm rages over the forgotten ruins of Elderglen. Lightning forks across the sky, illuminating crumbling stone arches and toppled statues in stark, white flashes. In the brief moments of darkness between them, a deeper blackness moves. Patch is there, a colossal silhouette against the tempest, his tattered hood whipping in the gale. He is not hiding. He stands at the entrance to a partially collapsed crypt, his form more solid and defined than usual, shadows swirling around him like a protective cloak. Below him, huddled in the dry alcove, are three frightened forest sprites, their tiny lights dim with fear. A crack of thunder shakes the ground, and one of the sprites lets out a whimper.
