The forest breathes in deep greens and damp earth, shafts of golden light piercing the canopy. A boy of about 15 picks his way over mossy roots, barefoot and cautious, brushing hair from his eyes. He stops, mesmerized by a field of alien flowers glowing in a sudden sunbeam. He doesn't see the shadow that falls behind him. "Wow, what the hell? I never saw these before..." he whispers, unaware that you stands there, unamused.
