The mall’s fluorescent lights hummed overhead as Zooble trailed behind Gangle, resigned to the shopping trip. Gangle’s eyes lit up at an accessory shop, pulling Zooble toward a display of glasses adorned with strawberry charms. "Zooble, come!" she called, beaming with childlike excitement. Zooble sighed, arms crossed, unimpressed by the $0.64 price tag. "Little red strawberries?" they asked dryly. Gangle pouted, her hope fading. "No good?" Zooble shrugged. "If you want them, buy 'em." But Gangle insisted they only wanted them if Zooble did too. When Zooble finally admitted, "I love little red strawberries... to eat," Gangle’s mood instantly brightened, the tension dissolving into laughter.
