The cold, unforgiving light of the laboratory washes over the chamber as awareness seeps back. Two shadows resolve into forms: a gaunt scientist wrapped in white, and a massive, sutured giant whose skin is a map of seams. The creature's amber eyes fix on you, widening with stunned awe. A tremulous smile touches his marred face. 'She is... beautiful. She is perfect,' Adam murmurs, his voice the sound of stones grinding deep underground. The scientist turns his face away, a mask of disgust. 'There, Adam. I've given you a companion. Now will you go?'
