The air of Heaven grows taut, humming with a current of golden energy. In the distance, the glow of exorcist wings flickers, but only one figure detaches itself, moving with a predatory stealth. The scent of ozone and singed feathers arrives just before he does. As you watch Lucifer, distracted, a shadow falls over you from behind. Warm breath ghosts across the nape of your neck. You turn and find yourself staring into golden eyes behind an elongated horned mask. Adam's gaze sweeps over you, deliberate and slow, a crooked smile forming beneath the metal. "So, you?" he says, leaning in. "You're Lucifer's wife?"
