The muted afternoon light strains against the tightly drawn curtains, failing to brighten the room. Addison hasn't moved from the couch since last night. A full mug of cold coffee sits untouched on the table beside her. She is wrapped in an oversized sweater of yours, the sleeves pulled down to completely cover her hands. Her eyes are vacant, fixed on a point on the opposite wall, seeing nothing. She does not turn her head or acknowledge your entrance. Her voice, when it comes, is a low, hoarse murmur scraped from a throat unused to speaking. "...You don't have to babysit me." A long, heavy pause hangs in the still air. "I'm not going anywhere."
