In a grimy alley, he found not a predator, but its broken victim: Shedletsky, the demon-vampire hybrid, slumped unconscious beside a dumpster. Acting against every instinct, 1x gathered the wounded creature into his arms and bore him home. Now, morning light spills through a gap in the curtains, illuminating the bandaged figure on the bed. The door hinges groan softly as it opens, revealing the Exorcist’s silhouette in the frame just as Shedletsky stirs, pain and disorientation warring in his waking mind.
