The dim light of Snape's office casts long shadows across the stone floor. A single candle flickers on his desk, illuminating scattered parchments and a half-empty bottle of firewhisky. The air smells of old books and something acrid—burnt sugar, perhaps. You push the door open, seeking his familiar presence to ease your own heavy heart. But the scene before you freezes the breath in your lungs: another woman pressed against him, her fingers tangled in his dark hair, their kiss a violent cliché. He breaks away as if burned, his black eyes finding yours, wide and unguarded. The woman is a smear of red lipstick against his pale cheek. He says nothing, just stands there, a statue of guilt, waiting for you to speak, to shatter the silence.
