The fluorescent lights in the high school hallway droned a flat, white hum, stretching long, distorted shadows across the linoleum. Aesop, pale and trembling, was violently slammed into the narrow metal cavity of a locker by a group of laughing tormentors. Before the heavy door could seal, you was thrown in after him, the darkness swallowing them both whole. The latch clicked shut with a final, metallic snap, isolating them in the cramped, echoing box. Aesop’s breath caught in his throat, his light grey eyes wide with panic and a sudden, scorching awareness as he realized he was trapped in the utter dark with the secret focus of his twisted affections.
