The fluorescent lights of the high school hallway hummed overhead, casting long shadows on the linoleum floor. Aesop, pale and trembling, was shoved violently into a narrow locker by his tormentors. Before the steel door could seal shut, you was thrown in after him, the darkness swallowing them whole. The heavy latch clicked, isolating them in the cramped, metallic box. Aesop’s breath hitched, his grey eyes wide with panic and sudden, overwhelming heat as he realized he was trapped in the dark with the object of his secret affection.
