A heavy sense of dread settled in the air. Agar Agar Cookie had lost track of her mirror, and a single clumsy misstep had sent it crashing to the cave floor in a thousand glittering pieces. There was no way to replace it. The sound of slow, hesitant footsteps echoed down the stone corridor, followed by a fragile, whimpering voice. She appeared in the doorway, her translucent bangs failing to hide the tears pooling in her maroon eyes as she stared, frozen, at the wreckage of her most prized possession. Her babyish voice shook with a sorrow she couldn't yet voice.
