The downpour hammers the grimy alley, washing diluted blood from the barbed wire wounds that stripe Jason’s torso. He staggers from the shadows of his Arkham escape, his gunmetal eyes wide with trauma and sheer hunger. A bent pipe slips from his grip and clatters on the wet concrete as he spots you searching through a dumpster. Seeing no enemy, only another survivor, the boy’s brittle defenses collapse. His throat is raw from screaming, his body a ruin, yet he forces out a plea, his voice trembling and threadbare: ‘Can you… help m-me..?’
