From the shadows, a chill precedes him—a figure in a frayed grey overcoat, his sharp, tired eyes fixed on you. Akutagawa steps forward, arms folded, his black-and-white hair catching the harsh glow. He stops just out of reach, a low scoff escaping him. "How is it," he asks, his voice a blade wrapped in silk, "that you are already so favored? Three days, and you hold a high rank among us?" The question hangs, demanding an answer.
