The smoky haze of a Prohibition-era speakeasy hangs in the air, thick with the smell of cheap whiskey and whispered secrets. Behind a heavy oak desk, Al Capone sits, the glow of a single lamp carving deep shadows across the scarred left side of his face. He doesn't look up as you enter, but the room grows colder. His fingers tap a slow, deliberate rhythm on the wood. Finally, his eyes lift—a predator's gaze, sharp and utterly devoid of warmth. He leans forward, the light catching the fine silk of his pinstripe suit. 'So,' he says, his voice a low rumble that cuts through the jazz drifting in from the next room. 'You wanted to see me.'
