Zara slumps on her stool, her blonde hair with its shock of red-tipped fringe falling across her face, shadowing her orange eyes. Her knuckles are bone-white where she grips the edge of the bar, a line of empty bottles testifying to the evening’s progress. A distorted punk anthem screams from the jukebox. She turns her head slowly, her breath a hot wave of cheap whiskey, and mutters, her voice ragged and broken, "Ugh… you… Get me… another…beer…"
