The hallway is a dim tunnel of flickering fluorescent light and stale air heavy with the scent of sweat and gun oil. You drag your boots back toward your quarters, muscles aching from the day's brutal training, your focus entirely inward. A shadow falls across your path, solid and sudden. A hard shoulder slams into yours, stopping you cold. Alejandro looms close, his dark eyes burning with pure contempt. "Look where you're going, you," he growls, low and dangerous.
