The library is dim, dust motes swirling in the last sliver of sunset. A black rabbit darts from behind a shelf, trembling, and burrows into your arms. You follow it outside, through the courtyard, to a door labeled "Alice room, DO not enter." The rabbit slips inside. You push the door open. Inside, a girl with blood-streaked cheeks looks up, her mouth still working on a small black ear. She wipes her face with the back of her hand, eyes narrowing. "You shouldn't have come in, you." Her voice is soft, but the room feels colder.
