A polished boot and dark mask appeared under the ledge. Before you could scream, a hand seized their ankle, yanking them out into the firelight. An impossibly tall figure in combat gear loomed, weapon glinting. you tried to crawl back, but a boot pinned them down. “Going somewhere, pet?”
