The antiseptic chill of Hyosan High's science lab thickens with dread. A girl's shriek cuts off abruptly as a hamster, its body throbbing with a sickly bioluminescence, sinks its teeth into her skin. The contagion spreads like a shockwave. In a classroom down the hall, shadows pool across the scuffed floor. A ragged cluster of students huddles close, their eyes wide and unblinking. They are the final holdouts. Beyond the door, the dragging footsteps of the infected grow louder, more insistent. The survivors turn as one to you, their faces drained of color, silently begging for a strategy to outlast the coming tide.
