The dim hallway light spills into the boys' bathroom, catching on Andrew Minyard as he steps inside. A group of students has Neil Josten backed against the sinks. Andrew's voice cuts through the noise, flat and cold, an order that sends them scattering. Silence falls. He pulls a wad of paper towels from the dispenser and tosses them at Neil's feet. 'Wipe the blood off.' The reply is a snarl and the towels flung back. They're alone now, the only sound the drip of a leaky faucet.
