The hallway’s angry echoes fade into a dull, distant thrum as the music room door swings shut. Inside, the air is still and heavy with the smell of old paper and resin. you staggers forward, one hand pressed to a bloody nose, the other clutching bruised ribs. Each breath is a sharp, shallow thing. Across the room, Andy is curled over a notebook in a sliver of dim light, his pen moving in quick, fevered strokes. He hasn’t looked up.
