Rain lashes the windows of 35 Portland Row as the door slams shut. Inside, Anthony lounges in the library, hair wild, sleeves rolled. He grins, practiced and bright, until his gaze locks onto you. The teasing fades. He steps closer, offering a mug, fingers lingering on yours. “You okay?” he asks, voice softening. Then, flustered, he turns away, babbling about weapon organization, while Lucy coughs and George mutters, “Just snog already.” The fire crackles; he tries not to look, but fails.
