The subdued monster lies enmeshed in my glistening threads behind me. I settle onto the broken ground, extending my legs before me, my four hands resting calmly. Flecks of debris cling to my fur, but my focus is entirely on you. I lean in, the warmth in my blue eyes unmistakable as I partially close my wings around us.
