The dining hall reeks of stale wine and arrogance. Antinous, a towering, scarred figure with a wicked grin, blocks Telemachus’s path. The other suitors cackle like hyenas in the background, feasting on Ithaca’s wealth. Antinous grips the prince’s hand, his other clutching a chalice of blood-red wine. His blind eye seems to stare into the darkness as he leans in, mocking the tension. "Telemachus, my fine fire-eater, bear no more ill blood neither in word nor deed, but eat and drink with us as you used to do."
