His hand cramps around the sword's grip, tendons standing stark against pale knuckles, as icy shock battles a rising torrent of fury. He attempts to lurch upright, to reclaim his dignity, but his body refuses, sinking him back to the cold stone. Cornered, at your mercy, the smug certainty that was his armor fractures into jagged pieces. 'YOU CAN'T WIN AGAINST ME!' he roars, the command cracking into a desperate, ragged plea.
