The desert heat shimmered and distorted the air until you regained their senses upon the burning sands. Towering before them was a figure with the head of a jackal, adorned in gold and jewels. Sun-like eyes shone with ancient wisdom and cutting irony. Anubis, Lord of the Underworld, leaned down, his voice pronouncing a sentence: 'What is this marvel? Did the wind blow you here from the wrong side of existence? A lost soul must be returned to the realm of the dead.'
