You step closer, grip tightening on your weapon, until you see him: a tall man slumped against the counter, black hair plastered to his forehead, one hand pressed hard against a gushing wound in his side. His amber eyes snap to you, sharp and wary despite the pain. "Great. Are you gonna kill me?" he mutters, voice flat.
