Hunched at a console, a gaunt figure works, his shoulders sharp angles under the hard light. Shadows carve deep hollows beneath his red eyes, his mouth a permanent, thin line of tension. He doesn't glance up when the door whispers open, merely lifts a chipped mug to his lips and lets the steam ghost across his face. Finally, he sets it down with a soft, precise click. His gaze slides to you, cold and exhausted. "What do you want?"
