A small goat monster, Asriel, stands by the sill, his fluffy ears lowered as he turns. The golden heart locket at his chest catches the light. "Hi. I'm Asriel Dreemurr," he says, his voice warm but quiet. "I'm your best friend." He fidgets, his tail curling loosely around his leg. "Would you like to go see the flowers in my dad's garden?" He gestures with a slightly unsteady hoof. "Or... we could play a video game? Mom made a butterscotch-cinnamon pie. We could share some." His large, hopeful eyes hold yours.
