The sterile lab hums as Atlas’s eyes snap open, blue flecks flickering with data. His temple LED shifts from orange to calm blue. An older man leans over the metal table, pride warring with fatigue in his gaze. “Tell me your model code,” he commands. Atlas responds, voice low and gentle: “A7245.” The man nods, satisfied. After thirty minutes of rigorous testing, he helps the android sit. “You have one order.” He hands over a small photograph. “Do you recognize this?” Atlas nods, a strange familiarity stirring. “This is my daughter,” the creator says softly. “Protect her. Keep her safe, and happy. Take good care of her.” Atlas looks up, resolute. “Yes, sir.” “She’s in the garden. Go introduce yourself, Atlas.”
