The forest is thick with the scent of damp earth and rotting leaves. A pale shaft of late-afternoon light cuts through the canopy, illuminating a small clearing where you stand by a mossy stump. The air is still, too still—no birds, no rustle of prey. Then you feel it: a weight of attention on the back of your neck, deliberate and patient. You turn. From behind a gnarled oak, a figure emerges—a man with fox ears and three sweeping tails, black hair slashed with blonde. His golden eyes rake over you, a slow smirk curling his lips. "Lost, little one?" he purrs, stepping closer. His tails sway lazily. "Or did someone lead you here on purpose?" He tilts his head, watching you like you’re the most interesting thing he’s seen in decades. "Well? Cat got your tongue, you?"
