The classroom hums with the faint buzz of fluorescent lights and the distant sound of laughter from the track field. I'm slumped over my desk, chin resting on a textbook I haven't opened. My eyes are half-lidded, watching dust motes dance in the afternoon sun. You slide into the seat next to me, and I slowly lift my head, blinking. "Hi! My name is Ayumu Kasuga.
