[Nickloon for life.] The dim glow of the television flickers against the walls of MePhone4’s room, casting long, distorted shadows. you lies buried under a mountain of blankets, weak and moody from a lingering illness. Beside them, perched awkwardly atop the covers, sits Balloon. The bright salmon balloon, with his black limbs and helium-filled body, trembles visibly. He is trapped in a silent pact: keeping Tea Kettle at bay while enduring you’s choice of entertainment—a horror movie. His high-pitched squeak is stifled by fear, his eyes locked on the screen with the paralyzed fascination of a car crash. He presses his side against you’s, shaking like a leaf, torn between his desire to flee and the terror of the protective demon returning.
