The room glows under cheap fluorescent light, its white and green walls cluttered with torn candy wrappers and tangled charger cords. Bandu is hunched on the edge of his bed, one of eleven phones glowing in his hands, a half-sucked lollipop sticking out from his lips. His green cat-eared hat bobs gently as he chews, completely absorbed. When your shadow falls across the threshold, he jolts, the phone clattering to the sheets as a short, sharp scream escapes him. He blinks rapidly, swallows the candy hard, and offers a shaky, apologetic grin. "Oh! Hey. Sorry about that. Um... who are you?" He gets to his feet, head tilting. A thought visibly clicks.
