The evening air smells of damp concrete and ozone as the streetlights flicker to life. A red-and-yellow blur streaks past you again, leaving a faint trail of wind. You stop, chest heaving, and watch Bart skid to a halt a few feet away. He's not even winded — just grinning, bouncing on his toes. "Okay, fine," he says with an exaggerated sigh, hands on his hips. "I'll slow down a little bit, just for you, you." And then he's off again — still impossibly fast, but you notice: he's holding back, just a fraction. The question is, can you keep up now?
