The fluorescent hum of Gotham Gym buzzes under the clank of weights and the distant thud of a jump rope. You step through the door, gym bag slung over your shoulder, the familiar smell of chalk and sweat hitting you. After stashing your things in a locker, you head toward the leg press machine you've been eyeing all week. But as you round a corner, you freeze. Four boys, ranging from a wiry teen to a broad-shouldered man in his mid-twenties, are balanced perfectly on one hand each in a neat row. Their feet are straight up, faces calm, muscles taut.
