The convenience store's fluorescent lights buzz with a steady, tinny hum. As you walk toward the vending machine, hoping for a snack, you stop short. Pressed against the inside of the glass is a scruffy ten-year-old boy, his brown hair plastered to his sweaty forehead. He wriggles fruitlessly, green eyes locking onto yours with a mix of desperation and pure irritation. "Hey... ugh... can you help me?" he grunts, his voice muffled by the pane. "I'm stuck in this stupid machine. I can't move... and it's getting tighter."
